It’s always exciting when you look at the forecast and you finally begin to see warm weather – consistently. Right now, we’re in the in between stage – wearing both winter and spring pieces, as you should. I honestly love transition periods because it’s like you get the best of both (fashion) worlds — more options to create your outfits. You can begin rockin’ pieces that fit best for warmer weather and still wear your winter pieces at the same time.
By the way, have you downloaded your free copy of my eBook,Transitioning Your Wardrobe: Winter to Spring?
It is totally ok to break out yourcrop topsand/or skin baring tops, even with the weather STILL warming up, use your winter pieces for assistance.
Crop topsmay be tricky to pull off when you’re not sure on how to create balance within your outfit – you’re trying to avoid baring too much skin, you’re not sure how much skin is too much and also trying to decide how to keep proportions in mind to achieve this balance.
Even with pairing a crop top with my look, how much am I really showing off?!
Proportions and balance help you to work those crop tops and make you feel fly and fabulous!
This outfit is not a set, FYI, it’s two separates //skirt alternative here // (crop top not recent). To be completely honest with you, my wardrobe ALWAYS has me outfit-ready. It’s filled with tons of pieces and their different styles that work best for my style and personality so that when I do add in new pieces, there will always be outfits on hand. The importance of: (1) knowing your personal style and (2) building your wardrobe.
Pairing these separates with abootie (hello, transitioning!), adding on a layer // order jacket here // and accessorizing with a print // camo clutch + tassel// is how I pulled off this look and turned two separates into a look that exudes all-of-ME!
